Herbal Spotlight - Calendula
Did you know that Egypt grows Calendula along the banks of the Nile River? Calendula has many medicinal benefits including. antimicrobial - strengthen the immune system promotes collagen production - hydrates and nourishes dry/inflamed skin estrogenic properties - reduce pain during menstruation relieves muscle spasms. During the sun drying process the Calendula petals fade from orange to bright yellow color. Find them in many of our blends including our Cran Apple Detox.
Herb of the week: Nettle (Urtica Dioica)
Nettle is one of the best all around herbs for nourishing and strengthening the whole body. Nettle strengthens and supports the adrenals, kidneys, lungs, intestines and arteries. Nettle is an excellent source of minerals, vitamins and amino acids. More specifically, Nettle is rich in iron, calcium, potassium, silicon, magnesium, manganese, zinc and chromium. Nettle is also an energizer and increases the ease of operation for the entire body system. My favorite herbs by far.
